You may wonder if counselling really is what you need and feel that you'd like more information before you decide. Well there are numerous resources online and elsewhere that can help. Your local library will have books on the subject and your nearest Citizens' Advice Bureau may have a list of counselling service in your area.
The professional bodies that cover counselling and psychotherapy have their own websites - follow the links below - and these provide a great deal of information about the different types of therapy and where you find someone who's right for you.

I've got ten copies of a great little book to give away to the first ten people who contact me with their names and addresses. A guide to the talking therapies, this book sets out all you'll need to know about whether or not counselling might be right for you. It's written by Jonathan Ingrams, a psychotherapist with many years experience, and presented in non-technical language.
And it's FREE!
